Founder, CEO, and Head Coach, Devan graduated from FSU where she played D1 beach volleyball. A captain for two years, she lead her team to two National Championship finals. After graduating, her passion for the sport and her desire to have a positive impact on youth athletes lead her to begin SHP volleyball.
Keara Rutz played beach volleyball at FSU from 2019-2022 while working on her bachelor’s degree in nursing. While playing for FSU she spent time playing on the 1s, 2s, 3s and 5s and was a 2 time CCSA Conference champion and an NCAA National Runner Up. In 2021, she earned CCSA Freshman of the Year and was a First Team All-American. Keara enjoyed her time playing for FSU and made the difficult decision to retire after 3 seasons with the team after being accepted in to Florida State’s College of Nursing to pursue her professional dream of being a nurse. Keara will graduate in May with her BSN and is hoping to get a job in the ICU.
Keara is originally from California but Tallahassee has become her home over the past 5 years she has spent here. She has made the best friends and even met her fiancé at FSU.
Addi Hultquist played beach volleyball throughout highschool and was the All Big Bend Beach Volleyball player of the year in 2021! She ultimately decided to play indoor in college where she stayed close to home and played at FSU while getting her degree in Exercise Physiology. Last year as a captain of her team Addi helped lead FSU to an ACC championship! Addi was also a member of the All ACC Academic Team! She will graduate later this year and has plans to go to physical therapy school after she graduates. When Addi doesn’t have her face in a bio textbook, she likes to spend her time hanging out with her sisters, being outside and dreaming about living on her own farm 😜 She is currently coaching at chiles and we are so happy to have her as a part of our SHP Coaching Staff!
